BT to start trials of 2Mbps and 8Mbps ADSL service

The UK’s dominant phone company BT has announced it is to begin trials of 2Mbps and 8Mbps broadband ADSL services within selected exchanges in Greater London and the Strathclyde region of Scotland, beginning next month. Up to 2,000 residential and business users will take part in the pilot trial to test the reliability of the faster service when pushed to its maximum limit.
