GSM improvements for GuineTel

28 Feb 2005

GuinéTel has contracted Tecore Wireless Systems to expand its GSM network in Guinea Bissau, in a bid to increase capacity and coverage, and enable it to launch GPRS services. Tecore will roll out equipment supplied by AirNet Communications, including its AdaptaCell 4000 XE base station. GuinéTel was the first operator to launch mobile services in the country, when it rolled out its GSM network in 2004.
