Elion doubles IP capacity to expand broadband services

Estonia’s dominant telco Elion Enterprises reports that its IP capacity has doubled through a project carried out with long term infrastructure partner Teleglobe. The work involved setting up dedicated access to Teleglobe’s internet backbone which is directly connected to over 90 countries. Elion is aiming to increase its consumer broadband subscriber base substantially again this year, following a 50% rise in its DSL users in 2004. The company claimed to have over 60% of the total internet access market at the end of last year.
