No more pre-pay for NTT DoCoMo

NTT DoCoMo has announced that it will stop signing up pre-paid mobile customers from 31 March 2005, due to concerns over the use of pre-paid handsets for fraudulent purposes. DoCoMo began asking customers of the service to produce personal identification in July 2000, and in September 2003 it also asked applicants to register their name, address, date of birth and home telephone number.
