The government of St Kitts and Nevis has been in meetings this week with local telecoms service providers to clarify the national policy for telecoms infrastructure development. IT minister Nigel Carty chaired the talks which addressed subjects including safeguarding the interests of telecoms stakeholders in the growing sector, and the proliferation of communications towers. Representatives of the country’s three licensed operators, Cingular, Cable & Wireless and UTS CariGlobe pledged to collaborate to achieve the policy objectives.
