Nokia joins Australian 3G market

Nokia has revealed plans for its first 3G phone in Australia – the 6680 imaging smartphone – which has two cameras, one with a protective slide over the lens, a 1.3 megapixel image resolution and a 6x digital zoom. The handset also offers two-way video calling and video sharing, and has a 10MB memory. The 6680 is already available in Europe, retailing at around EUR500 (AUD1,000). In Australia it is likely to cost between AUD875 and AUD1,000. It will be available by the end of March.
