TRA issues draft law to open up networks

15 Feb 2005

Bahrain’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has published draft regulations, urging the country’s dominant operators to open up their networks to competitors. The move follows a consultation document last year and will enable smaller companies to pay a fixed fee to provide services over an existing network. The regulator has invited comments on the draft bill, and will issue the final law when the 5 March deadline for feedback passes.
