Malaysia’s mobile subscribers grow by 20%

Malaysia’s mobile phone market grew by around 20% last year, reaching eleven million subscribers by the end of December, a cellular penetration rate of 45%. Mobile customer growth is starting to slow down amongst the country’s population of 24.77 million but according to a report from Research and Markets demand is increasing for SMS, mobile data services and camera phones.
