Finland’s Nokia has merged its network services businesses into a single unit. The services in question, which accounted for 25% of Nokia’s network unit’s sales in 2004, include the maintenance of network equipment, systems integration, consulting, managed services and supply of software for the automation of network management. The current services market leader is Sweden’s Ericsson; other significant players include Alcatel (France) and the USA’s Lucent.
