Unicom says it will not sell network

Mobile carrier China Unicom has announced that it has no intention to sell or transfer its CDMA mobile network, quashing rumours circulating in the country. According to a spokesperson for the company, it had never considered selling its network, nor had it been involved in talks with any other operators to do so. China Unicom operates two nationwide mobile networks – the other is based on GSM technology.
