Safaricom unhappy with MNP proposals

Kenyan cellco Safaricom has said that the government’s plan to introduce mobile number portability (MNP) in July 2005 is unrealistic and unachievable. The company’s chief executive Michael Joseph told the Nairobi-based East African Standard newspaper ‘We do not know what is required, how much it will cost, and who will pay for it’.
