Russia’s largest CDMA network operator, Skylink, has awarded Chinese equipment manufacturer ZTE a contract to roll out a CDMA450 network to the world’s largest city north of the Arctic Circle, Murmansk. Under the terms of the deal ZTE will supply equipment including base stations, switching and data networks, which will support an upgrade to 1xEV-DO.
