NCC says network operators must improve

12 Jan 2005

The Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) has called the country’s GSM operators to task over growing concerns at the poor quality of service being provided to the Nigerian public. The move is the first stage of a proposed monitoring campaign and investigation of services to be carried out by the NCC following a surge in complaints over problems with call interference, high incidents of dropped calls, non-delivery of text messages, multiple and excessive billing, wrong feedback for SMS and a high rate of call attempts.
