ZTE gets Malaysian deal

Chinese equipment supplier ZTE has won a contract to provide digital trunking infrastructure to Malaysian operator Electcoms. ZTE will roll out its GoTa (global open trunking architecture) to cover Kuala Lumpur this year in the first phase of the project. The technology, which is based on the CDMA mobile standard, will eventually be installed nationwide.
