MCMC warns illegal network operators

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has asked telcos to submit comprehensive details of their network infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya by 15 January. Networks which remain unreported after the deadline will be considered illegal and will be uninstalled. According to the MCMC there are 455 reported networks in the two cities, far fewer than the 1,143 it believes to be in place.
