Movistar completes phase 1 3G rollout

Puerto Rican wireless operator Movistar has announced the completion of the first phase of its USD20 million 3G expansion project. Migration has already been finalised for areas including Bayamon, Cupey, Caguas, Guaynabo and Carolina. The second phase of rollout will begin early next year. Movistar is owned by Telefonica Moviles of Spain.
