SingTel soft launches 3G

16 Dec 2004

In a bid to cash in on the lucrative festive season, SingTel has begun selling four 3G handsets (two Motorolas, a SonyEricsson and an LG model) to its customers, ahead of the full commercial launch of its 3G network. As an incentive to early adopters, SingTel is offering free video calling and video-streaming services until the end of February. SingTel claims to have completed its nationwide 3G network rollout, but maintains it will continue to fine tune the infrastructure in the run up to full commercial launch.
