Movistar introduces push-to-talk service

Mexican wireless operator Movistar has launched a push-to-talk (PTT) service called Direct Contact, according to local newspaper La Reforma. The Telefónica Móviles-owned unit is targeting the new offering at the corporate market, offering a choice of three monthly service plans costing from MXP450 to MXP750 (USD39.68 to USD66.14), for between 75 and 450 minutes. Subscribers taking the service will also have access to value added services such as real-time chat, access to mobile content portals and worldwide roaming.
