Cosmote dials up double digit growth

18 Nov 2004

Greek wireless operator Cosmote has reported a 20.6% increase in consolidated revenues for the nine months ended 30 September 2004 to EUR1.2 billion. Growth was driven by strong growth in usage by its Greek subscribers, with a 23.5% increase in airtime and monthly service revenues. Traffic volumes during the nine months also increased by 32% year-on-year as a result of tariff cuts and higher take up of bundled packages. At the end of September 2004 Cosmote claimed 4.09 million customers in its home market as well as 638,566 in Albania.
