Guyana’s newest mobile operator Celstar has revealed plans to begin the rollout of its services on Monday. The cellco will soft-launch pre-paid mobile services, following this up with its ‘hard-launch’ for contract customers on 11 December. Celstar has been testing interconnection with incumbent cellco Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Corp (GT&T) since 8 November to link to the existing operator’s fibre-optic network and central switches.
