17 Nov 2004

Telefónica of Spain is teaming up with satellite music entertainment channel MTV to provide a free internet access-based service in Brazil, called iMTV. According to Brazilian online news provider Agencia Estado, the service will be available in 1,326 municipalities and distributed across 26 states, and will be piped to 322 cities in the state of São Paulo alone. The Spanish telecoms heavyweight hopes the tie-up will raise its profile in the Brazilian youth segment.
