Best nine-month performance yet for mobilcom

12 Nov 2004

German wireless and broadband service provider mobilcom today reported a group net profit of EUR37.4 million for the first nine months of this year, compared to EUR18.9 million in the same period of 2003. mobilcom’s total revenues for the third quarter of 2004 were EUR477.5 million, an increase of EUR26.6 million on the corresponding period of last year, although Q3 profits dipped year-on-year by EUR3.8 million to EUR11 million, mainly due to major recent expenditure by the operator in developing both its broadband and wireless networks. The group’s mobile arm now accounts for about 75% of total sales and had a subscriber base of 4.3 million at the end of September, an increase of 100,000 in the quarter.
