5 Nov 2004

Orange has announced that it plans to launch 3G services in France and the UK by the end of the year, despite some speculation that it would not meet its deadline. The operator has revealed that it will offer handsets from LG Electronics (the U8150), Sony Ericsson (Z1010), Samsung (Z107), Nokia (6630) and Motorola, as well as one model from Sanyo Electric, which will be sold exclusively by Orange in Europe. Orange 3G customers will be able to roam on networks in Spain, Italy, Germany, France and the UK.
