46% of British mobile users have GPRS-capable devices

According to a report from the UK’s Mobile Data Association (MDA) at 30 June 2004 there were 24 million GPRS capable handsets in use in the UK, approximately 46% of the 52 million total. This figure is expected to rise to 50% by year end. MMS enabled handsets, meanwhile, reached 15 million or 29% of the total market.
