Orange and T-Mobile to build separate 3G networks

15 Oct 2004

Orange and T-Mobile have announced plans to dissolve their joint venture, Rann, which was designed to roll out a shared 3G network in the Netherlands. The two companies are now planning to build separate 3G networks in the country. Rann currently employs around 80 workers, all of which will be made redundant. T-Mobile has said it will launch 3G services in the first half of 2005, while Orange is expected to unveil its own rollout schedule later this year.
