Yell goes mobile

13 Oct 2004

The UK-based telephone directories company Yell has launched a new business information service for mobile users. The new service, Mobile, makes the company’s online database of more than two million businesses available to cellular users. The directory search application utilises Java technology and is free to download. It will be available on all four main UK mobile networks and can be used by owners of 29 different handset models from manufacturers such as Nokia, SonyEricsson and Siemens. Business information is provided free, but advanced features such as maps, directions and business cards will be charged at 25 pence per use.
