UOHS fines mobile operators

4 Oct 2004

The Czech Anti-Monopoly Office (UOHS) has fined three mobile operators – Eurotel Prague, T-mobile Czech Republic and Cesky Mobil – a total of CZK44 million, for making deals using direct network connections instead of using a third-party operator, which led to artificially inflated prices. The regulator said that the deals resulted in an average loss per customer of several hundred thousand crowns a year.
