China’s ZTE Corporation claims to have made the first 3G call in Tunisia over a network it has been installing over the past three months for Centre d’Etudes et de Recherche des Télécommunications (CERT). The W-CDMA network covers the country’s two main cities, Sousse and Tunis, and will be used to provide 3G services for the 20,000 attendees at next year’s ITU World Summit on Information Technology.
