Nokia upgrades 3Q forecasts

Nokia has raised its quarterly sales and earnings forecasts for the third quarter on the back of strong demand for its wireless products, sending its share price up by 6%. The Finnish vendor says that it now expects earnings per share of between EUR0.11 and EUR0.13 for the three months to 30 September, up from original estimates of EUR0.09; its sales forecast was raised by EUR100 million, to between EUR6.8 billion and EUR6.9 billion.
