Hong Kong’s New World Mobility has awarded Nokia a USD30 million contract to expand its GSM network with EDGE and Push-to-talk-over-Cellular (PoC) equipment. The deal will enhance the capacity and quality of both voice and data services for New World Mobility’s 1.2 million subscribers. Deliveries of the equipment have already begun, with commercial services planned for later this year. Nokia has been New World Mobility’s sole equipment supplier since 1996.
