Motorola wins EDGE contract in Middle East

Motorola has been contracted to roll out EDGE technology by Kuwaiti cellco Mobile Telecommunications Company (MTC). Under the terms of the deal Motorola will deliver hardware, software and services required for the upgrade, enabling the cellco to offer advanced, high-speed services such as audio and video streaming, mobile web browsing and multimedia messaging. The agreement is the first of its kind for Motorola in the Middle East region.
