Eurotel rolls out CDMA-450 network based on 1xEV-DO

Czech mobile operator Eurotel Prague says it has rolled out a CDMA 1xEV-DO network in the 450MHz band, using equipment supplied by Nortel Networks. The new CDMA-450 overlay – the first such deployment in the country – will deliver high speed data services to both residential and business users, and will maximise the operator’s existing investment in 450MHz spectrum and legacy network equipment.
