SingTel reports regional subscriber base of 52 million

SingTel added five million aggregate wireless customers to its regional operations in the three months to 30 June 2004. Subscribers to SingTel’s four Asian cellcos Advanced Info Services (AIS, Thailand), Bharti (India), Globe (Phillippines) and Telkomsel (Indonesia) as well as its customers at home and in Australia grew by 40% from 37 million a year ago.
