IDA finalises 3G rollout requirements

2 Aug 2004

By 31 December 2004 Singapore’s 3G licensees must provide street level coverage to at least 95% of the island, using a signal strength that is greater or equal to -100dBm1, to escape being fined by telecoms regulator the IDA. If the trio of licensees meet this obligation, they will be deemed to have complied with the licence terms requiring them to provide national 3G coverage by the end of 2004.
