NTL invests in broadband

Cable operator NTL Ireland has announced that it is investing EUR100 million in the upgrade of its cable network to provide broadband services to more than 100,000 homes by the end of the year. The company will offer three tiered packages, starting at EUR25 a month for a 300kbps service and rising to EUR50 for a 1.5Mb line. NTL intends to make its entire network broadband by the end of 2006.
