Mead dragged to court over Mannesmann trial

4 Jun 2004

Former Goldman Sachs banker Scott Mead has been summoned to a German court over the country’s biggest ever court case, the Mannesmann trial. Mead will be questioned about a conversation overheard in a men’s toilet, during which a Goldman Sachs banker told an unknown interlocutor that the three-month takeover battle with Vodafone had been a sham, as well as about the timing of events of the days when the takeover deal was struck.
