Anatel mulls 450MHz rules

On Monday the Brazilian telecoms regulator Anatel is expected to launch a 30-day public consultation on a set a rules governing the use of 450MHz spectrum. In February, 24 companies expressed an interest in providing services using the frequencies, and since then two firms have gained permission to carry out 450MHz trials with CDMA technology, namely Vivo (which is working with Lucent) and Unicel do Brasil (in cooperation with ZTE).
