Ofcom cuts mobile termination charges

1 Jun 2004

Telecoms regulator Ofcom has announced a price cut in mobile call termination charges for the UK’s four dominant cellcos. The charge for both O2 and Vodafone is to be reduced from 8 pence to 5.63 pence a minute, whilst tariffs for T-Mobile and Orange will fall from 9.5 pence to 6.31 pence. Ofcom said that average charges for the period from September 2004 to March 2005 will have to reflect the reductions and will remain at that level until March 2006.
