Guernsey’s Wave Telecom is facing the prospect of legal action from the Office of Utility Regulation if it continues to stall the launch of a mobile network on the island. The company was obliged to introduce a service on 30 April but claims its efforts have been delayed by longer than expected talks with incumbent cellco Cable & Wireless. The two sides have clashed over issues such as mast-sharing, with Wave accusing its rival of stalling negotiations. Wave Telecom now has a new deadline of 1 July to set up the service.
