T-Online reports third straight profit

12 May 2004

Internet service provider T-Online International has reported its third straight quarterly profit for the three months ending 31 March 2004, with a net income of EUR79.3 million (USD94 million) compared to a loss of 31.3 million twelve months earlier. The Deutsche Telekom subsidiary has altered its method of defining high-speed internet subscribers, meaning that its official broadband user count actually fell over the period by more than a million, although its total customer base grew by 300,000 to 13.4 million across Europe. T-Online said it is sticking to its full-year forecast of net income of between EUR150 million and EUR250 million.
