Flat Q1 for France Télécom

France Télécom has reported almost flat sales for the first quarter of 2004, with revenues growing to EUR11.447 billion from EUR11.376 billion. EBITDA rose by 4.3% to EUR4.3 billion while operating income stood at EUR2.55 billion, up 16.3%. The company claimed a total customer base of 118.6 million at the end of the quarter, of which 57.4 million were mobile subscribers, 49.4 million fixed line users, 10.9 million internet customers and 0.9 million subscribers to its cable service. France Télécom’s internet unit Wanadoo reported consolidated revenues of EUR636 million at the same date, an increase of 15% year-on-year.
