The European mobile alliance Starmap has added Denmark to its coverage thanks to a new agreement with the country’s second largest cellular operator, Sonofon. The Danish company, which is wholly owned by Telenor, joins the nine existing partners: O2 (UK, Germany and Ireland), Wind (Italy), Amena (Spain), One (Austria), sunrise (Switzerland), Telenor (Norway) and Pannon GSM (Hungary). The Starmap Mobile Alliance was set up last October to provide seamless voice and data roaming services for both business and private mobile users. The addition of Sonofon means Starmap now covers a subscriber base of more than 46 million wireless customers across Europe.
