PWC to supervise Pacifictel/Andinatel hiring process

16 Mar 2004

The Ecuadorian government has selected PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) as the overseer for the process of hiring new managers at state-owned telcos Andinatel and Pacifictel, and state oil firm Petroecuador. The country’s president Lucio Gutierrez ordered 26 vice-presidents, directors and managers to resign earlier this month so that he could fill the posts with people with no political loyalties. The hiring process is expected to take around four weeks.
