Telecoms revenues up 20% in 2003

Uzbekistan’s telecommunications industry reported a 20% rise in service revenues in 2003 to USZ205.6 billion, with mobile revenues growing by a similar amount to USZ85.9 billion. At the end of 2003 there were 325,200 cellular subscribers in the country, a rise of 71% in a year.
