ETB targets 50,000 ADSL users by year end

Colombian fixed line telco ETB is looking to add around 38,000 ADSL accounts in 2004, to boost its total to 50,000 by the end of the year. The company has announced plans to spend USD112 million in expanding broadband access in Bogota, to create capacity for 70,000 ADSL users. The project includes an upgrade to both the city’s backbone network and servers at ETB’s ISP division.
