SK Telecom selects Gemplus for 3G SIM cards

South Korea’s SK Telecom has struck an agreement with Gemplus International for the supply of USIM card technology in preparation for the launch of its 3G W-CDMA network. The Gemplus cards support W-CDMA, cdma2000 1X and GSM technology.
