Tele2 extends Russian reach

Stockholm-based alternative telco Tele2 has rolled out mobile services in Russia’s third-largest city, Nizhny Novgorod, its eighth network launch in the country. The GSM-1800 network covers a population of around 3.5 million; mobile penetration in the Nizhny Novgorod concession area is currently around 24%.
