Guam-based GSM operator HafaTel has deployed a new AirCore mobile switching platform from Tecore Wireless Systems to cope with the increased demand from visitors to the island requiring international roaming facilities. HafaTel, which currently has around 11,000 subscribers, has said the new system will not only expand its network capacity, but also increase revenue generating opportunities from existing customers via the new services and features it plans to introduce in the short term, starting with a new pre-paid subscription option.
