NTT to launch VoIP business service

5 Feb 2004

Japan’s NTT Corp has said that it will launch a VoIP service to major business customers in a bid to arrest its declining revenues from fixed line voice telephony services. The company plans to begin the service next month, offering connectivity to 88 countries, and is hoping for 500 customers by the end of the year. NTT is targeting annual earnings of about JPY10 billion from installation and communications charges.
