Centertel revenues up as it captures a third of the mobile market

Centertel, the Polish cellco controlled by national PTO TPSA, posted a 30.98% rise in revenues for 2003, according to preliminary data released this week. The cellco is now the number two operator in the country, having added 1.202 million customers over the twelve months to take its total subscriber base to 5.7 million; a market share of 33% according to TPSA. Blended monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) over the year was PLN70.9, down from PLN73.3 in 2002, whilst average minutes of subscriber use also fell, from 66.4 to 59.6. Centertel’s detailed figures will be released as part of TPSA’s quarterly report, due at the end of the month.
